Joseph Pagano
Joseph always wanted to record Poker Face by Lady Gaga as he has been a huge fan from Gaga's early days, both having played at the Bitter End in NYC. While laying down the synthesizers for his cover of Poker Face, Joseph wanted more of a rock feel and while tuning his guitar to a new track he started playing the riff to Nirvana's It Smells Like Teen Spirit. The riff happened to record over top of the Poker Face bass line and the rest is history. Joseph decided to make a mash-up recording that was meant to be a demo but was later released on W.O.A. International record label. “Pagano’s guitars blaze with precision, fueling a track that pulses with rebellious energy. In a landscape of safe pop formulas, Pagano’s fusion of a pop juggernaut and a grunge cornerstone stands as a testament to his musicianship and courage. Rating: 9/10” - Musicauthentic.com
